Now, on to Dahlonega. We found new things this trip. My favorite new tidbit is the Kangaroo Conservation Center. They have over 300 kangas just doing their thing, hopping around all day.
Ohh I wish there was a way to show the delight in my face when we found this place. The extremely sad part is that it is no longer open to the public. After tried attempts of trying to figure out how to get into this place, I decided to give up. No visitors allowed. Shame, shame, shame.
Note to any future newlyweds out there: beware the sparklers.
Everything seems all fine and dandy. The pictures are beautiful with images of fluttering lights. The couple is swept away in marital bliss. Then there is this one certain girl, that may be me, just fluttering around with her sparkler and decides that she know longer wants it. So naturally, she throws it over the balcony. Well in a normal circumstance this may be okay, this, however, is not that circumstance. I started a forest fire. What looked like a sparkler glistening on the forest ground, ended up a pile of leaves roaring to life with a blaze. Not to worry, the Beibster sprinted down the ramp and jumped on the fire to put it out. I have been relieved of my wedding sparkler exit duties and I am no longer allowed to participate. Better watch out for me on the Fourth of July.
