on the road.. again

For this weekend's journey, we will be heading to DAHLONEGA! My heart hurts for all the kids who grew up having to learn to spell that. I can't imagine how many recesses I would have lost sitting inside because I couldn't learn to spell this city. At least when we (fellow MSians) were learning to spell our state they gave us a snazzy song to sing.

Dahlonega is the sweetest little town ever. It is somewhere an hour past Atlanta (I'm extremely directionally challenged, and also too lazy to look it up). They have tons and tons and tons of thrift stores. And their town square is just too precious. It reminds me of an old western movie. They have fudge shops and general stores and ice cream parlors (the way the world operated pre-walmart). The best part about all of it - its all family owned. Nothing is a chain. I just adore this town.

And the views, they are just amazing. The first time I saw these creeks, all I could think was  Twilight. Tell me you couldn't imagine Robert Pattinson hopping from rock to rock across this creek. Yep, told you.

Look, even Google thinks I'm spelling it wrong.

Happy weekend ya'll!
