Friday consisted of driving. We (Joseph joined in on this voyage) drove from Jackson to Canton, Canton to Indianola, picked up the U-haul (Joseph made me drive it) then headed to Greenville. Now, the U-haul story you all have been waiting for. Yes, there was a wreck. No, thankfully, I wasn't involved. It actually happened when I was picking up my U-haul. Naturally when I got there, there was already a line so I waited my turn. While I was waiting, another guy was returning his U-haul. He apparently missed the diagrams featured inside his U-haul cab telling him of all precautions that need to be taken. He decided that he wasn't going to wait his turn to turn his U-haul back in and preceeded to take it to the back where all the other U-hauls are stored. In doing this, he also decided to take half of the roof of the building with him. No worries, this didn't phase him one bit and he just kept on driving.
Saturday was an early morning. We were up at 5am to head to the Peters Sale (Joseph joined in on this expedition too). Lucky for me, I was worried all night and basically never slept so I was up and ready at 5am. Later that day I found out that my alarm was set for pm instead of am. We got to the Peters only to find out that everyone else had the same idea that we did and we were in the very back of the 100 people deep line. Looks like next time, we'll be camping out. Look at all my new goodies!
Sunday was a work day. First, I had to take Joseph to the airport. Of course, I wasn't invited. I've decided that I'm going to have to pack myself in his bag to get to go on these "work" trips.
I went to FOUR grocery stores looking for things I need for my bunco coming up and came up empty handed every time. Oh well, I'll keep checking back this week (code for I'll order it off Amazon). I did, however, end up with a lot of cleaning supplies. I bleached/murphy-oiled/liquid-golded this thing back its original beauty. The drawers are still drying out so check back for the complete transformation. I love that you can see the age of this piece in its warped glass panes.
I hope ya'll had a great weekend! 12 days until the St. Paddy's Day parade!
